Audition Information
We are so glad you are interested in auditioning for Urinetown. This is going to be a fun show for both the audience and the actors. VCT is trying to add more and more information online so that you will feel comfortable with our audition process.
When are auditions?
Auditions will be in one hour time slots on either Tuesday April 23 or Saturday April 27th. Please note that if you are interested in one of the lead roles we will be auditioning 6 lead roles during a time slot. Chorus and general roles will be done during one hour time slots as well but with up to 12 people. Call backs are scheduled for Sunday, April 28th starting at 1:00. Note: Please show up to your audition time 15-20 minutes early so that you have time to complete your audition form, take a head shot (picture), and generally get fired up for an awesomely fun experience!

When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday, 5:30-8:30 and our First Reading Tuesday May 7 at 5:30
Music Rehearsals will start on May 8-30, Monday-Thursday, 5:30-8:30
Times may vary depending on if you are a lead or in a chorus role.
Dance will start June 3-11, Monday-Thursday 5:30-8:30.
Tech Week: July 17- 24 (not including Sunday)
Performances: July 25-28 & August 2-4 Evenings 7pm curtain, Matinees 2pm curtain

Preparing for auditions:
In order to make people feel more comfortable with what will be expected of them, we have attached all of the audition information you will need. There will be 3 parts to auditions... reading, music, and dance. Depending on what type of part/s you are auditioning for will depend on what you will want to focus your energy. Each charcter link will have their music, scripts, and dance video included. Scripts and dance material also have their own seperate links.
