About The Show
A deviously delicious sci‑fi musical comedy, Little Shop of Horrors follows meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn, his unrequited love Audrey, and the mysterious plant that changes everything. Packed with iconic songs, dark humor, and heart, this cult‑favorite musical offers rich roles for actors, singers, and dancers of all experience levels.
Vocal Requirements
Singers are welcome to bring a prepared solo. If you choose this option, please provide approximately 32 bars of sheet music for our pianist/accompanist. A full song is not necessary.
If you do not have a prepared piece or sheet music, you will be asked to sing from a selection of well‑known standards provided at the audition (such as “Danny Boy,” “Ave Maria,” and similar pieces).
Dance Requirements
There is a short dance combination required for all auditioners.

A video of the combo will be posted in advance.

We expect performers to learn the choreography before arriving.

At auditions, we will run the combo together a couple of times before dancers perform it individually or in small groups.

Acting Requirements
You will read one of the provided sides. Choose the side that best fits the character you’d like to be considered for. You do not need to prepare both, and we will only hear one reading per auditioner.
Character Descriptions
SEYMOUR KRELBORN – A shy, awkward florist’s assistant with a good heart and big dreams.
AUDREY – Sweet, vulnerable, and hopeful; longs for a better life.
MR. MUSHNIK – The cranky, opportunistic owner of the flower shop.
ORIN SCRIVELLO, DDS – Audrey’s sadistic dentist boyfriend; charismatic and unhinged.
AUDREY II – A smooth-talking, soulful, increasingly menacing plant. Physically expressive performer.
CRYSTAL, RONNETTE & CHIFFON – Street-smart, high-energy narrators with strong vocals and movement.
ENSEMBLE– Various roles; strong movers and character actors encouraged.
