Calling All Local Playwrights!

 

Viroqua Community Theater is looking for original, locally written one-act plays to showcase in a special event coming  in 2026!

 

We’re seeking 30-60 minute works with simple, easy-to-transition sets. This is an opportunity for playwrights to see their work brought to life on stage! Whether you have a polished draft or a well-structured work-in-progress,we want to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

✅ One-act plays (30-60 minutes)

✅ Original works by local writers

✅ Pieces that are beyond the idea stage (perusal script or rough first draft required)

✅ No skits or variety acts (those belong in our Variety Show)

 

Selected playwrights will have time to refine and develop their work before the production. Depending on the number of submissions, the event may be a one-night or two-night production.

 

 This is your chance to share your voice, tell your story, and be part of something truly special!
